My passion for various forms of photography has been ongoing for many years. Over this time I have shot a wide variety of subjects. These subjects range from landscape and motorsport to fineart and artistic nude.


I became interested in motorsport in the early 60s photographing at tracks such as Sandown Park, Calder Raceway and the old Templestowe Hill Climb. Most images have been misplaced over the years save for a few early black and white shots. My interest in motorsport was rekindled in 2009 when I was requested by Nick, of "Scarcella Motorsport", to provide images of team cars competing in the 6 Hour Regularity at Phillip Island race circuit. Once bitten I attended regularly as a Freelance trackside photographer at various Australian circuits. I joined the Phillip Island Auto Racing Club in 2009 and in 2010 gained accreditation as a CAMS Photographer. My interest is not primarily photographing racing cars but rather the more personal and less profiled background personel. Passion is what drives people of all walks of life and is not related to gender or age. My aim is to provide images of interest to these dedicated men and women.

In 2010 and 2011 I travelled overseas and photographed interesting people and places. I attempt to capture the culture and living conditions in my images.I intend to extend this aspect of imagemaking in the foreseeable future

Of late my free time is limited thus shoots such as landscape are out of the question. One aspect of imagemaking I especialy enjoy is combining natural suroundings with figure. I attempt to instill poses which are in tune with the landscape to form harmoneous images rather than simply rely on the model to create interest for the viewer. I enjoy interacting with my subject to attempt to capture images which will enhance both our portfolios. I believe that all photo shoots should be a mutual enjoyment for model and image maker thus encouraging input from all concerned.



I have chosen to include my early studio and darkroom images which I simply scanned rather than alter their appearence thus the poor image quality.
